West Virginia passed a law to legalize medical cannabis in 2010 through Senate Bill 386. The law allows qualifying patients to possess a 30-day supply of medical marijuana, the amount is to be determined.

Washington DC (District of Columbia) passed a law to legalize medical cannabis in 2010 through an Amendment Act that was approved in a 13-0 vote. The law allows qualifying patients to possess 2-ounces of medical marijuana

Washington was the second state to legalize medical cannabis. Legalization was done through Initiative 692 that was passed in 1998 with 59% of the vote. The law allows qualifying patients to possess 8-ounces of medical marijuana and cultivate up to 6 plants.

Vermont legalized medical cannabis in 2004 through Senate Bill 76 and House Bill 645. The law allows qualifying patients to possess 2-ounces of medical marijuana and cultivate up to 9 plants (2 mature, 7 immature).

Rhode Island passed a law to legalize medical cannabis in 2006 through Senate Bill 0710. The law allows qualifying patients to possess 2.5 ounces of medical marijuana and cultivate 12 plants

Pennsylvania passed a law to legalize medical cannabis in 2016 through Senate Bill 3. The law allows qualifying patients to possess a 30-day supply of medical marijuana. Cultivation of medical marijuana is not allowed.

Oregon passed a law to legalize medical marijuana in 1998 through a Ballot Measure that received 55% of the vote. The law allows qualifying patients to possess 24-ounces of medical marijuana and cultivate up to 24 plants (6 mature, 18 immature).

Ohio passed a law to legalize medical cannabis in 2016 through House Bill 523. The law allows qualifying patients to possess a 90-day supply of medical marijuana. The amount is to be determined. Cultivation of medical marijuana is not allowed.

North Dakota passed a law to legalize medical cannabis in 2016 through Ballot Measure 5 that received 63% of the vote. The law allows qualifying patients to possess 3 ounces of medical marijuana. Patients are allowed to cultivate 8 cannabis plants if they live more than 40 miles away from a compassionate care center.
